The Arizona Benchrest Shooters host seven bench rest matches per shooting season. The AZBRS season begins in October and ends in April of the following year. Below is a list of upcoming matches for this season.
2022-2023 Season
October 2022
2022 LV-HV AZBRS Club Match
October 1 – 2, 2022
Practice days will be held on September 29 – 30, 2022.
This Arizona State Championship Match consists of 20 matches total:
- Five 5-shot 100yd Light Varmint Matches
- Five 5-shot 100yd Heavy Varmint Matches
- Five 5-shot 200yd Light Varmint Matches
- Five 5-shot 200yd Heavy Varmint Matches
These matches will be combined into a Light Varmint Grand Aggregate, Heavy Varmint Grand Aggregate and a 2-Gun Grand Aggregate.
These aggregates will be combined with the Aggregates from the 2022 LV-HV AZBRS Club Match to create a 3-Gun Grand Aggregate and a 4-Gun Grand Aggregate.
November 2022
2022 SP-Unl5 AZBRS Club Match
November 12 – 13, 2022
Practice days will be held on November 10 – 11, 2022.
This Arizona State Championship Match consists of 20 matches total:
- Five 5-shot 100yd Sporter Matches
- Five 5-shot 100yd Unl5 Matches
- Five 5-shot 200yd Sporter Matches
- Five 5-shot 200yd Unl5 Matches
These matches will be combined into a Sporter Grand Aggregate, Unl5 Grand Aggregate and a 2-Gun Grand Aggregate.
These aggregates will be combined with the Aggregates from the 2022 LV-HV AZBRS Club Match to create a 3-Gun Grand Aggregate and a 4-Gun Grand Aggregate.
December 2022
2022 Unl5-Unl5 Invitational
December 10 – December 11, 2022
Practice days will be held on December 8 – 9, 2022.
This Invitational Match consists of 20 matches total:
- Ten 5-shot 100yd Unl5 Matches
- Ten 5-shot 200yd Unl5 Matches
These matches will be combined into a Unl5 Grand Aggregate. These scores will combine with the 2022 Visalia Invitational to create a Grand Aggregate.
January 2023
2023 SP-Unl5 Arizona State Championship
January 14 – 15, 2023
Practice days will be held on January 12 – 13, 2023.
This Arizona State Championship Match consists of 20 matches total:
- Five 5-shot 100yd Sporter Matches
- Five 5-shot 100yd Unl5 Matches
- Five 5-shot 200yd Sporter Matches
- Five 5-shot 200yd Unl5 Matches
These matches will be combined into a Sporter Grand Aggregate, Unl5 Grand Aggregate and a 2-Gun Grand Aggregate.
These aggregates will be combined with the Aggregates from the 2023 Walt Berger Memorial Match to create a 3-Gun Grand Aggregate and a 4-Gun Grand Aggregate.
February 2023
2023 Walt Berger Memorial Match
February 4 – 5, 2023
Practice days will be held on February 2 – 3, 2023.
This Championship consists of 30 matches total:
Five 5-shot 100yd Unlimited Matches
Five 5-shot 100yd Light Varmint Matches
Five 5-shot 100yd Heavy Varmint Matches
Five 5-shot 200yd Unlimited Matches
Five 5-shot 200yd Light Varmint Matches
Five 5-shot 200yd Heavy Varmint Matches
This match will be an NBRSA Short Range Group 3-Gun Match (Light Varmint, Heavy Varmint and Unlimited). The match will consist of two parts. There will be awards for the individual portions, as well as awards for a 2-man team event. The team match partners will be decided by drawing names out of a hat.
The range will be divided. Half the range will shoot 100 yds in the morning, while the other half shoots 200 yards. After lunch, the shooters will swap benches with their team member and shoot the other yard line.
These aggregates will be combined with the 2022 SP-Unl5 Arizona State Championships‘ Aggregates to create a 3-Gun Grand Aggregate and a 4-Gun Grand Aggregate.
March 2023
2023 LV-HV Cactus Classic
March 11 – 12, 2023
Practice days will be held on March 7 – March 10, 2023.
The Cactus Classic Consists of 20 Matches total:
- Five 5-shot 100yd Light Varmint Matches
- Five 5-shot 100yd Heavy Varmint Matches
- Five 5-shot 200yd Light Varmint Matches
- Five 5-shot 200yd Heavy Varmint Matches
These matches will be combined into a Light Varmint Grand Aggregate, Heavy Varmint Grand Aggregate and a 2-Gun Grand Aggregate.
We highly encourage shooters that would like extra practice to attend the 2023 LV-HV Arizona State Championship.
April 2023
2023 Unl5-Unl5 Season Closing Match
April 1 – 2, 2023
Practice days will be held on March 30 – 31, 2023.
This Season Closing Match consists of 20 matches total:
- Five 5-shot 100yd Unl5 Matches
- Five 5-shot 100yd Unl5 Matches
- Five 5-shot 200yd Unl5 Matches
- Five 5-shot 200yd Unl5 Matches
These matches will be combined into a Unl5 Grand Aggregate.
